The 2015 BAR is special to me. Some of my students, a former legal staff along with two of my current staff, will try to hurdle and pass the examination considered by many as the most difficult but a coveted one.

The difference of the 2015 BAR Schedule from the 2014 Schedule I have previously prepared is the additional one month for this year since the BAR will be held in November. The Review schedule is of three parts: (1) the First Reading; (2) the Second Reading; and (3) Pre-week Review. During the First Reading, reviewees must cover all the topics in the syllabus for 2015 BAR for each subject provided by the Supreme Court. To get your copy go to www.judiciary.gov.ph, choose Supreme Court, choose Bar Admissions, then download the syllabus for each bar subject. This review schedule is designed in such a manner to aid your memory or to remember more easily what you have reviewed for the subjects that are more proximate to the scheduled date of examinations.

It is suggested that you must follow this schedule even if the dates will not coincide with the subjects being lectured in the Review Center you are enrolled. You will notice that the schedules of lectures in the Review Centers are not chronologically or systematically arranged (halo-halo) for the reason that they have to adjust with the availability of the sought-after BAR Lecturers who make themselves available to different Review Centers. During the Pre-week review you must study both subjects every day for the obvious reason that you will take two subjects in every examination day. This is part of your confidence building and to ensure yourself that you are prepared for both.

Before May 1 you should already have your Daily Time Schedule. This is where you divide your 24 hours of the day. I cannot make it for you. You will be the best person to prepare this time allocation considering your current daily activities. I suggest though that you should consider your sleeping and wake-up time habits. It’s better to wake-up early in the morning (4:30 am) to simulate your waking-up time during the BAR days.
